I don’t believe in New Years Resolutions
I don’t believe in making New Years resolutions as they rarely last past the first week of January. I do however believe in setting goals and making a list of what I’d like to achieve in the next 12 months in business and personally.
I recently read a great article by Andrew Griffins which shared some great thought starters on setting new years resolutions. Andrew suggested asking yourself what you want to do more of and less of in 2016, don’t waste January (a mistake many businesses make) and pick a big hairy audacious goal for the year and go for it.
The article reminded me how important it is to set goals & milestones for the year and started me thinking about what my digital resolutions were and I figured if I write then down you will make me accountable for them. For me 2016 is going to look like this:
- More balance between online and offline
- Not checking my phone every 10 minutes
- Smarter use of social media
- Using more effective digital tools to save me time
- Send and receive less emails
- Film more video
- Launch my Having Digital Conversations book
