How Being “Different” Translates To Money In The Bank

In a world where it’s easy to just copy others and follow the mould, it is more important than ever to be different with your marketing messages.

Your target audience is bombarded with thousands of advertising messages a day. It is constant and very little actually cuts through. UNLESS it is different and stands out.

Rather than take a cookie-cutter approach and follow the crowd, create a brand with a personality that is different from the rest of your industry. This is one of the biggest issues I see in professional services.

Law firms, recruiters, and accountants who in real life like to say they are different because of XYZ. The reality is totally different when you look at their marketing though.

It’s the same boring stuff that everyone else in their industry is doing. The websites are the same just insert their name and off you go.

The marketing messages are full of industry jargon and tech terms no one else can understand.

And it just lacks personality and point of difference.

It’s ok to defy the rules and stand out. Heck, take a look at my website HERE as an example. It has a fun 80’s theme and all the messages reflect that. It stands out from others.

So, in a world full of beige and vanilla, try and bring some colour and sparkle to the table.

You might just find that you’ll actually get noticed and that translates into money in the bank.
