The K.I.S.S principle has stood the test of time.
Keep It Simple Stupid!
The phrase is thought to have been coined by the late Kelly Johnson, who was the lead engineer at the Lockheed Skunk Works (a place responsible for the S-71 Blackbird spy plane amongst many other notable achievements).
I have been ranting at you for years about keeping your marketing simple.
If you are a small or boutique-sized B2B business, you don’t need to overcomplicate it.
You don’t need fancy tech and expensive software.
You don’t need funnel after funnel.
You don’t need to waste money on Facebook ads (that don’t make you money).
You don’t need to spend thousands every month just on organic social media posts.
You don’t need to rely on just one channel for leads.
But what you do need to do is K.I.S.S
Have a clear message and positioning statement (get rid of vague & generic words).
Have a great website that is functional and encourages people to interact or get in touch with you easily.
Have a well-rounded marketing strategy that doesn’t rely on just one channel.
Double down on the channels that are working for you now.
Do less of what isn’t working.
Have a strong brand identity.
Regularly share your expertise.
Collaborate with complementary businesses.
I can ramble on but as I write this, I am preparing for my holiday to Italy so I need to get back to packing the perfect outfits LOL.
